Grads are good but not all singing and dancing

Universities are producing students who are poor at interacting and achieving personal objectives, according to research by the SHL Group revealed at The British Psychological Society’s Division of Occupational Psychology Annual Conference.
The research found that although students were generally strong, having the necessary skills, it was hard to find an all singing and dancing applicant.
The researchers said that the overall weakness in certain skill areas might be due to an over emphasis on top universities, which attract and develop students with a strong academic orientation.
The researchers advised recruiters to rate work experience highly and to give credit for extra curricular activities.
